Thor is my special guy. He was sick when he was born, and after a week a the Univ. of MO-Columbia Equine Clinic, a blood transfusion and a week of follow-up shots, he's healthy as an ox! THANK YOU Univ. Of Mo-Columbia Equine Clinic!! His condition was called Allo-Immune Thrombocytopenia. It's a rare, treatable disorder where the antibodies in the mare's colostrum attack the platelets of the foal's blood. If you'd like the whole story, feel free to email me.
